The Temple of Solace is one of the jewels in the crown of the Soul Food Cafe an internationally acclaimed site catering for writers and artists. It is a quiet haven, a place where people from all over the world can find respite and solace.

In this time of Global chaos take the slower path, reside in the Temple of Solace and learn the art of comfort rugging. It might just provide comfort, solace and make all the difference to the lives of others and ultimately, to your own.

such a poignant photo, taken perhaps in happier days. My heart goes out to you both

Thank you, Aletta, for posting the photograph, and thank you everyone else for your kind thoughts and comments. The photo was taken last summer. Our lives together were Dickensian: every day was the best of times, the worst of times. On August 11th, we ran out of time altogether. The whole world just became infinitely less interesting. She was a clown and a comedian and a drama queen like no other.
